So, what's social media?
Social media includes such things as user-created video, audio, text or multimedia that we put online and share on the World Wide Web in a social environment, like a blog, wiki or video site such as YouTube. Another way to think of social media is as any form of Internet publication or Web site that allows a number of individuals to communicate with each other in or around whatever content is on the website.
